YAN IN THE LAND OF AIR
YAN IN THE LAND OF THIRST
YAN IN THE LAND OF WASTE
YAN IN THE LAND OF DARKNESS
YAN IN THE LAND OF SEPARATION

Hi, I'm Yan, and I live on a farm in Asia. In the city, where my father works, there are many factories. He says he can always see the smoke the factories let out put into the air. Sometimes the air is so dirty that dust covers his bike and the leaves of the trees.

Do you have lots of factories around you?
Do they pollute your air?

We used to have a lot of factories and they were always smoking black smoke from their huge chimneys and it polluted the air for sure because it stinked. [Egon - Hungary]

Hi, I'm Yan, and I live on a farm in Asia. We draw drinking water from the big river next to us. The water usually stinks and tastes really bad. I often get sick from our water. We let our animals drink from the river, and many get sick too.

How does your water smell?
How does it taste?
Does it make you sick?

Hi, I'm Yan, and I live on a farm in Asia. There are lots of mines in the nearby mountains where we get our coal.

Do you have fuel resources near to you?
How do you use them?

Hi, I'm Yan, and I live on a farm in Asia. My mother, my grandparents and my sisters live here. My father and brothers work in the city. We don't see them often, but they send home money. We miss them.

Does your family live together?
